Develop an understanding of structural vibrations in engineering. Topics covered include:1. Deal with the simple physical behaviors of single D.O.F. systems and with two D.O.F. systems. Several different computer methods will be used to analyze simple examples. 2. Generalize to multi-D.O.F. systems of all vibrating systems. Matrix algebra will be used to analyze the vibration of basic elements such as rod, beam. 3. Introduce Lagrange's Equation to strengthen the understanding of dynamic systems presented earlier. 4. Use approximate numerical methods for the estimation of dynamic systems.
